Renovation of postal sorting machines

The purpose of the renovation is to enable sorting machines to manage letters rejected by automatic address reading systems, and to sort mail in the order required for rounds. This application has response time constraints: on average the system sorts 10 letters per second, and on some machines each letter must be processed in under 30 ms. The system delivers these performance levels using a Windows NT machine with a 350 MHz processor and 64 MB of RAM.

@ Groupe La Poste

CODRA also deployed this upgrade (including the supply of the IT hardware and kits, machine upgrades, commissioning, and testing) on some 125 sorting machines representing approximately half of the installed base of La Poste.

The total budget for the deployment project is on the order of €1.5 million.
